*The crowd in the club moved around restlessly, each one looking for that perfect distraction. The drug- and alcohol-fueled bodies writhed and swayed, the myriad of scents and sounds assaulting my senses.
As I made my way through the throng of bodies, I pushed the three females I had just been distracted by, out of my mind, absently adjusting my clothes as I headed for the side door out of the club.
I punched the door open and strode into the dark ally, ignoring the female on her knees in front of some drunk, with his head thrown back in pleasure, the sound of her gags bringing the taste of bile into my throat. I picked up my pace and headed towards the sidewalk, turning right away from the club and its thumping music and flashing neon lights. My body itched for a kickass fight. The release I had had in those females bodies should, if I were lucky, keep my curse on a leash.
I picked up my pace, my trench coat flapping around my legs as I stalked the streets in search of our race’s enemy. *
